[iPhone SDK] XCode 3.1 and iPhone tool chain for 1.1.4
Hi,
I've taken my first steps with the SDK and would like to test my application on my iPhone. I've already uploaded it via SSH and it chrshed with the same unsatisfied link error as mentionend many times before. But I don't want to wait until June to get my app running on the phone, so my qestion is.
Can I install the tool chain for 1.1.4 and XCode 3.1 on the same Mac?
In the ReadMe file for the XCode 3.1 they said, that you can install XCode 3.1 in another directory than Developer.
Any body any ideas?

It's entirely possible that you may be able to use the 1.1.4 toolchain with XCode 3.1...try it and see what happens. But you can definitely install 3.1 in its own directory and maintain a copy of 3.0. The problem you're going to run into is with all the changes in the frameworks introduced in 1.2/2.0. Unless you want to do some serious recoding come June you should make sure you understand the changes before coding for 1.1.4 at this stage in the game.

How big is the difference between 1.1.4 and 1.2/2.0?
Is it a big issue or is it just the AutoreleasePool?
Can you give any hints?

I have the same question. I mean, from a programmer view.
Can I use source code from 1.1.4 to 1.2 and/or from 1.2 to 1.1.4? (using xcode 3.1)
Thanks
