Default [iPhone SDK] Unlocked 1.1.4 is seen as not activated by Xcode

    Hi all.

I just upgraded my 16 Gb iPhone to 1.1.4 and unlocked it using iPlus 1.2, everything working great with BL 3.9fakeblank and 04.04.05_G.

However I just installed Xcode 3.1 and the iPhone SDK, but as the post title says, Xcode doesn't recognize the 'activation' of the iPhone, which it seems doesn't use the same as iTunes to validate.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need the Firmware 2.0.0 Beta for iPhone to be able to compile/send/run apps directly in the phone.

Only iPhone Simulator is working if your don't have installed the 2.0.0 Beta, which is better to wait to see if it is possible to jailbreak/activate/unlock it.

Aside from the 2.0 (or 1.2.0) requirement on the iPhone hardware. Can anyone with a PROPERLY activated iPhone check if XCode lets you drag apps onto it (yes, it will ultimately fail to move the apps, but with a unlocked iPhone you won't even get the 'Install Apps' dialog.)

It doesn't. As stated, you need the 2.0 firmware to be able to even send apps to the phone. There are some new features present in currently generated XCode not yet available on the iPhone. Thus, 2.0 firmware only, sorry.

Besides for sending apps to your 1.2 iPhone, the organizer isn't much use. It just has the provisioning profile that you made at Apple.com and loaded onto it (Provided that you paid the $99 that is...), a debug console, a tab to take a screenshot of what's on your phone, and just some other things to debug it. Uploading apps to the phone is really the only use for it.
