Is it just me having these issues, or is everybody having problems with the UISlider and UITextView classes?

The UISlider does not allow me to retrieve the value property. It errors out in saying that it is not a float (which it is clearly supposed to be according to documentation and the h file). I assigned it to an int, but when I deciphered the bytes (by hand), they had no meaning at all as a float. I can use all the other properties properly though.

The UITextView just crashes my simulator every time I try to create an instance of it.

Lastly, every time I try to use the keyboard in the simulator (iPhone on-screen keyboard) the simulator just crashes. I have never had this problem before beta 5.

I use last version of SDK and I have problems with UITextControl as well... Any time I use this control in IB the app crashes in simulator... hope this is fixed soon, I'm using UI label instead for testing purposes

Yes I have the same problem using UITextView.
However, when adding a UITextView via code instead of using the IB, it works perfect. I'm thinking about avoiding the IB until a stable release comes out, as this seems to be happening with some other controls as well.
