Default Iphone audio device in /dev/ folder

What is the iphone's audio device? I mean.. if I want to read data from my pc's microphone I look into /dev/dsp. There's nothing like that on the iphone?
Can't i give a simple command like "cat /dev/dsp" on it?

    Thanks
