If I want to submit an app to the appstore
Do I have to compile it as Apple intended - on a intel mac and using the apple toolchain? Or can I still compile it with the open toolchain and Apple wont know the difference as long (as I sign correctly it with my developer key etc)
I just want to get my app on the damn app store, got all the coding done and it works great in the simulator but I'm really struggeling to get anywhere with running it on the actual phone...

Compile it with xcode and submit it to your programs account. Opentoolchain might allow you to use API which are not allowed in the offical apps.

Compiling with xcode is not as easy as it seems when I don't have an intel mac.
I have been trying to get it to compile on a ppc ibook but no one seems to be having much luck with this either.
I was hoping I could use another method to compile (maybe on phone) and apple wouldn't be able to tell the difference when I submit my app - I am only using official SDK API's not any of the special ones available in the open tool chain.
