well, once a few independent people have got hold of the firmware they can compare MD5's, if they match, then it clearly isn't watermarked?

We could totally know if the file is watermarked :

Just take the firmware file from two different people, and compare it byte by byte.

If there is ANY difference, then it IS watermarked, if not please release it!

I think you are right

have a look at this I'd say its something 04 BB firmware as well

Aw man I was getting a video ready and everything! Oh well, since the news have already been broken I'll get a video ready and give you guys a walkthrough of the firmware

(The method can not be spoken of at this time though)

Just as a note, at the time there is a side effect of the phone getting no signal.

The firmware is 04.05.**_G (Don't know if the last two numbers would give away the source of this [Well, we know who the source is, but I mean his source])
