    Default [Exchange] Unable to configure it after Beta 3

    I had no problem configuring exchange in beta 2, but after upgrading to beta 3, my iPhone is stuck at the configuration screen with Email, Username, Password and Description. It seems to be stuck in a loop. I noticed that the Username field has Domain\User - which we tried putting domain\user id and domain\email address - but nothing seems to work. My buddy that's on the same exchange setup is also having the same problem...

    Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

    I had similar problems. I think what it tries to do is it looks at your mail address and you domain name. If those two match it tries to use that information and tires to resolve the webaddress using that. If you exchange webaddress is not the same as you email domain then it doesnt work.

    Eg My email address is abc@domain.com. But exchange is setup as webmail.domain.com. It doesnt work.
    What I had to do was in the email field type in abc.webmail.domain.com, then provide username/password and click save. At that point it will prompt your exchange server address. I then provided the exchange server address and corrected my email address and clicked save.

    It connected and verified and I was back in business.

    Mine works fine. My domain is abc.com and my active sync account points to mail.abc.com.

    @rushco: should be /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/TMobile_Germany.bundle/carrier.plist
    This worked for me also.

    Im trying to get this to work for me to. My company is a major corporation so getting any help from my IT department isnt going to happen since they say they dont support the iPhone. MY company uses Exchange 2003 and to get to my email I have to first login to the server here in my office and then open outlook. Now if I look in out look under mail accounts I see Microsoft Exchange and if I click Modify i can see the server name xxxmailjax04.xxx.com and used cached exchange is checked and I see my full name listed in the user box. Do I use these settings and how should I enter them in my iphone under exchange? Im using Beta 3. My company has webmail also but to get to that we now have to login to a web hosted vpn just to get to the link for webmail and then after we click the link we have to enter our information that we use normally to login to our computer here in the office.

    Thanks! Btw, has anyone experienced a MUCH shorter battery life on beta 3? I don't have an exact number yet but from what I can see, it's pretty bad. I also noticed the iPhone gets super hot while charging in the cradle and when it's being used (talking on the phone, surfing the net for a long time etc..)

    Hi iPhoneBuzz,
    I did, my iphone is since yesterday night that i installed the latest 2.0 an oven. And regarding the battery, i opened a few hours ago a post for that same reason. I was worried that nobody answered till now but it seems i'm not the only one.
    I only have exchange configured and i needed to charge the iphone during the full day. I think i drop the battery charge in less than 3 hours, without doing anything.
