[Dev Program] I just got accepted, but i thought it was over???

The Dev Program is for Developers who want to write apps for the iPhone. It wasn't only meant for pre-2.0 firmware developers, its for all developers who want to write on this new 2.0 firmware. The Non-disclosure agreements are the ones that probably end when 2.0 and the AppStore came out. The program itself, will continue to run for a good number of years. What with the $100 Million iFund backing it up.

So do you have to be part of the program to get your app on the app store?
iPhone "2G" - 3.1.3 - Jailbroken + iPhoDroid
iPhone 4 - 4.0.2 - Not jailbroken (yet)

The iFund program is independent from Apple's Dev program. It is not funding the dev program nor Apple; its venture capital to fund the best of the best iPhone app initiatives to get them to market.
Read about it:

What's the purpose of paying $99 if we're not going to get the Beta firmwares such as 2.1?? Right about the time when 2.1 was seeded, a few days before, I got accepted into the $99 program and so I obviously accepted and paid the $99.
Now I find out that only previously accepted tester (prior to July 11) got the new 2.1 beta. Why is that? That seems totally unfair...i think this should have been disclosed somewhere. ANyways, do you think it will be available to all Dev's sometime later??
EDIT: I actually got a acceptance email on July 11th.

It's Apple, nobody really knows what they are doing or why they do it.

How long did it take to get accepted, from the time you submitted? We are still waiting, and its getting very frustrating.

I applied wayyy back when they initially started the Dev. Program. So it took a good ol time. But getting accepted on the 11th seemed like a planned thing. In a way that I would think that a lot of other 'secondary' people got accepted then too. But its stupid because we still don't get the 2.1 Beta!
