Complete Newbie - What Hardware to buy
Hey all,
I am new to iPhone / iPad development. I generally programme windows software in .NET c#. Therefore, as you can imagine I only have Windows based computers
Anyway, I have found Titanium Developer which would allow me to develop iPhone / iPad apps using HTML & PHP which is great as I am familiar with both. However, it seems I need to be using MacOSX SL to compile and test code.
As I am a student, on a budget, would you guys suggest I buy a Mac Mini (for £550, eek!) or build/buy a cheap intel machine and Hackintosh it?
I don't want to have to fiddle with the software once its setup or tweak things so I can work with the code - as I have never attempted a hackintosh build before nor have I developed for any apple products, I have no idea what the restrictions are?
On a side note, I have a few app ideas in mind, some of which may be mathematically intensive (use of matrices, eigenvectors etc..) - what developer tools would you suggest for this?
Many thanks for any information you can provide!
RHodgett
