    Default Beginning iPhone Hackintosh Developer

I am new to iPhone development. I do not want to jailbreak my Touch, and I am a licensed (paid) iPhone developer. I use an iPod Touch. I cannot afford even a used Mac Mini at the moment, and though that will change in the future I would like to get started right away. I have a hackintosh laptop set up and working just fine with a miraculous amount of things not broken.

My question is, will there be any issues running code developed on the hackintosh on the Touch until I can afford a real Mac? Will the process of setting up my signing keys call home to Apple and reveal that I am not using a real Mac? I feel certain I would be banned from the app store permanently as the result of such a transgression, were Apple to know. The simulator, I have found, is not exactly perfect for constant use compared to doing development directly on the device.

    Thanks so much.

Don't worry... there is definetly no calling home. And even if there were, they would definetly not check wheter you're using a hackintosh or not. As for running the code on your iPod Touch... once it's compiled it doesn't matter where and how. You could have problems with upgrading to new versions of the SDK (when they require the latest version of OSX)... but that's all you have to worry about.
