[App Dev] Summary of options for firmware 2.0 and where to start
Here is a summary of the options available for the different development platforms for building firmware 2.0 for iPhone.
(1) If you are registered iPhone Developer and build App Store app, you should follow Apple 's guide, and you need to have an Intel Mac. So go to the developer site and follow Apple developer's guide.
(2) If you have a pwned iPhone and want to develop for firmware 2.0 for pwned devices. Here are the options that I know. If you have other sources /methods, please post here.
(2a) As all of you have iPhone (and you may have difficulties in setting up development tools in desktop or notebook), you might try this iPhone GCC which is the simplest method to start with and try out some small apps or command line utility. However, it is slow in compiling and code editing / debugging are difficult via ssh terminal.
see post #2 for open toolchain header and post #7 for SDK headers
(2b) If you use Mac and want to build UIKit based app and want to use the full integrated development environment of Xcode, you can install official iPhone SDK from Apple and try this XCode Template, it now supports open toolchain headers and official SDK headers.
(2c) if you use Linux / Windows PC, try the saurik's guide on building the full open toolchain for firmware 2.0
You may also want to upgrade it and get the iPhone SDK headers by following this

Touch Dial is an easy-to-use application for one touch dial / sms icon on the home screen for iPhone.
This app can read the accelerometer and do phone dial or SMS dial for the same number based on the your setting for Portrait or Landscape Mode of iPhone.
