Hi well besides iNdependence you can also use ziphone and click the jailbreak+activate button so it will restore it to 1.1.4 then in installer add the iclarified source (installer.iclarified.com) and download the 04.05.01_G baseband downgrader and the run another restore on itunes with 1.1.4 so you know have the working 1.1.4 then upgrade it again to 2.0

Last I checked, the lockdownd file said that the expiration date was May 15...

Do you still have this problem?

I royally f**ked my phone over the weekend and it took 3 hours of trying to sort it. Basically I tried to restore back to 1.1.4, then back to 2.0 and also reset the phone during upgrade. It ended up at the point where the phone wasn't even recognised as a phone, only a device. It is possible though to get back to 2.0 with some perseverence though. I did some combination of the following:

    * Installed Beta 4 SDK and had a Beta 4 firmware for the iPhone
    * Removed all devices from the Xcode organiser
    * Put the device into DFU mode using the hold both buttons down, when the screen goes dark, count to 6 and release the power button and hold the home button. Screen stays dark.
    * Put the device into DFU by holding both buttons down, and KEEP holding both down until the DFU icon appears
    * Attempt to restore through iTunes (always results in error)
    * Attempt to restore through Xcode (if screen was blank and in DFU mode--always failed)

The key is to use Xcode, have the DFU icon (iTunes icon plus lead) on the iPhone and have it recognised as connected by iTunes and Xcode. At this point you can successfully restore.

After each attempt at a restore I always deleted all entries in the Xcode organiser. I also terminated and restarted iTunes and Xcode with the phone in DFU mode and connected too.

At some point magically, I had the DFU icon on the screen I had Xcode up and emptied the organiser. I then restarted iTunes and it recognised the Phone as there. I restarted Xcode and it recognised it too. I was then able to restore.

Good luck, it can be done.

You can't restore back to 1.1.4 from 2.0, simple as that. There is a lot of work to do to go back unless your phone is neutered.

So if I had neutered my phone, I will be able to go back to 1.1.4 from 2.0 (any build)?
