That's helpful; thanks.

You may be onto something with the maps location eating up battery life. I reloaded my build of the beta 3 without SSH and made sure the location button was off. 3 hours later there is NO noticeable drain in battery. This is with my wifi on and hooked to my wireless at work, and my BT on.
I'll report later on the longevity in case anyone is interested. If this holds up, I'll keep the beta 3 on. I like the apps but love my Exchange sync better.

I have the same results. Installed this on Friday night and took it off charge Satruday morning and by the afternoon half my battery was gone. I read this thread and looked at Google Maps and it was spinning on mine also. Since switching it of, my battery has been back to normal.

Can anyone give any updates as to how their battery is faring now?

Im using beta three, with the following settings:
Exchange push sync
Gmail IMAP 15 minute pull
BT off
Wifi on all day, connected 3-4 hours per day
SSH installed, but not running
Google Maps autolocate off
Battery lasts all day (~15 hours)
The only real issue I have is the Exchange sync is inconsistent. Most of the time it'll push as expected, but there's no telling when it'll stop and I need to manually initiate a sync.
There's a handful of other bugs, but they're small enough not to warrant removal of the beta just yet. Cant wait until June.

@ salvatore
Is that every day or just one day? I believe that the real issue has to do with the iphone getting "hung up" while its on the wifi exchanging emails. I have found the phone "connecting" to the exchange server for an abnormally long amount of time and the phone getting warm to the touch signalling that the radio is stuck in the on position. It never seems to hang while checking the messages over edge.

Every day. Ive yet to try having Google autolocate off and SSH on, but today is that experiment. I'll post again to report how the battery fares with that combination.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm vowing to keep the beta 2 (version 3 for me as well) on my device for at least the next couple of days. I like the apps stuff but none of them are as useful as Exchange for me. If I get a fifteen hour day out of my battery i think I'll be happy.
Going to leave BT on all day since I have a hands free setup in my SUV and leave the wifi off, since I have wifi at work and it stay connected all day if I don't.

Battery lasted ~15.5 hours with SSH on and Google autolocate off. Slightly worse than previous days, but phone call usage was heavier than usual.
There are a handful of Exchange sync related issues I hope are remedied in the final build. Is there a site/forum where developers are listing or reporting such things to Apple, or is all that included in the SDK? If its the former Id like to follow along with what's reported and hopefully put my experiences in.
