    Default ? Calendar Sync

I was not having any problems with the battery before. I only had exchange sync with email only. However, I turned on Calendar sync last night and my battery is run down 50% in about 3 hours.

I tried installing Beta 3 with no SSH, left wifi on and had vpn connected with exchange set to only sync my mail and from a full charge with the phone just sitting on the table it died in about 2.5 hours. I think that 2.0 is just going to be a sales pitch to get people to buy the 3G phone when its released in June. 2.0 may work on our phones but the phone doesnt seem do have the design to run 2.0 with all of its goodies and still get the performance of 1.1.4. I know people say this is just a beta but there hasnt been very many changes in any of the 3 beta's released in regards to performance.

I am another confirmed report of Beta 3 draining my battery in less than a day once exchange sync is enabled. I have also noticed that the phone gets a bit warmer than usual, which would indicate more radio usage.

Ive manually killed the SSH processes (they restart upon a phone reboot), leave wifi on but only connected for three/four hours a day, Bluetooth off, Gmail checking every 30 minutes, and push/ActiveSync with Exchange.

Im at ten hours and have a little less than 50% battery remaining. YMMV.

I ran it all day today with wifi off and it lasted all day. Will run it tomorrow with wifi on and see if it goes back to only lasting 5 hours.

How much battery did you have left at the end of the day? Was it running on fumes?

about 25% left. Today I left wifi on, and at the halfway mark I still have over 50% left. The phone is not near as warm as it was 2 days ago.

Just want to throw this out there, I noticed that the google maps auto update location doesnt automatically end when switching apps. I played with it today and switched out to another app, when I switched back to maps it was still updating my position. So check and make sure you turn off the autoupdate when you are leaving the map function.

Where is there an autoupdate setting for maps?

Further, I cant seem to navigate around the map once it locates me. I get the blue circle but scrolling around just snaps the map back to the center of the circle.

The little button on the lower left now stays blue after it locates you and periodically updates your location on the map. If you press it again it turns grey and stops updating. I have also had trouble scrolling from the map. I was able to do it, but I had to zoom out first.
