    Cool, that's all just cool!

And their commercial, been always great, as usual.

But, the iPhone 4S battery is only less-longer than iPhone 4.

    iPhone 4S:
Standby time: Up to 200 hours
    Apple - iPhone 4S - Technical Specifications

    iPhone 4
Standby time: Up to 300 hours
    Apple - iPhone 4 - Technical Specifications

Probably due to dual-core A5 chip that uses more battery while idle?

    Default iPhone 4S

I was expecting something else like any other iPhone fan who read and heard all these rumors but after the event is over, DeJaVu!! anyone? 3G to 3GS? same way exactly!!

same body, same design, updated interior and software...and now get it or not?

I know the answer to this question is yes probably

I use Nexus S for my business phone and iPhone 4 for my personal one, so I guess I will wait and see what Nexus Prime will offer then decide which go first!

and the good news iOS 5 is coming and although IceCreamSandwish...

    so I still have time!

It was what I was expecting, though I was definitely hoping for more. I'm not interested really in Siri, I don't have need for a personal assistant (I don't have enough going on in my personal life that I need to start scheduling my time with my iPhone calendar, and I very rarely need to ask my iPhone what the weather is going to be like.), and while the A5 processor is definitely fast on the iPad, unlike when I was using a 3G, I don't personally feel that the iPhone 4 is slow -- so $200-$400 for an upgrade doesn't seem justified to me. Last but not least, I've got the 32GB iPhone4, and now that Google Music has an HTML5 native player, I have little to no reason to put my entire music library on the device -- so the extra space is unnecessary. My iPad2 has 64GB and with all of my jailbreak emulators, ROMs, ScummVM games, PSX ISOs, etc., I still barely use 32GB on the thing. Couple that with the fact that I still think next June/July will have the iPhone5 announcement, I don't feel like shackling myself with another 2 year AT&T commitment when I'm less than 2 months away from being contract free.

I think the iPhone4S is a definite upgrade for iPhone 3G/3GS users, however, iPhone4 users really have little to no reason to upgrade, imo.

Despite the iPhone 5 won't be released long as iPhone 4S, I've great reason to get rid the death grip at the moment.

Not certain I agree. The prevalence of the iPhone5 (thin design, bigger screen) rumors and case designs makes me think that we'll see the iPhone 5 in June/July of 2012... It would be upsetting for people who just bought a 4S to have a new one 7-8 months later, but considering there are strong rumors of an iPad3 (retina display) as well, a June/July announcement would fall in line with their historical timelines and releases. Since the 4S already uses the dual-mode CDMA/GSM baseband, they won't have to do all the work they did on the 4S again, so it should take less time to go from iPhone4S to 5 than it did to go from 4 to 4S.

This, of course, is purely speculation...

The iPhone 4S was announced yesterday.
    At first i thought meh.
After today's passing of Steve Jobs, I feel like I owe it to him to pick up a 4S now. 4S is "For Steve" now .

I really hope they put out a special edition 4S that costs more and donates the extra money to pancreatic cancer research....

I really got my hopes up for a 5. The rumors just fueled the fire IMO. But, I have a 3gs and I have been due for an upgrade for 5 or 6 months. I thought about going with the Galaxy Sll and I wanted to see what the Nexus Prime will be like, but there really isn't much a difference between the phone (other than OS) to really persuade me from upgrading to the 4s. If a 5 comes out in 7-8 months from now I will be displeased, but I won't mind shelling out the dough for it, depending on specs and looks. I think Siri really sold me on the 4s. I spend a lot of time on my computer and I don't like stopping every 5 minutes to answer a text or phone call, so I plan on getting a headset and going hands free, for the most part. It is really sad to see Jobs go, but I know he gave everything he had to that company and the 4s is kind of like his last device for everyone.
