    Default Applidium Cracks Siri Protocol

The developers who created the VLC app for the iPhone has reversed engineered the Siri Protocol to communicate with Apple servers. This means that you can use Siri on your laptop or PC. Unfortunately, you need to have a uniqe iPhone 4S ID for it to work. oh well.

I am not sure I fully understand. What exactly do they mean when they say 4S ID requirement? Where does this unique identifier come from, or where would it if you could get one?

Each iPhone 4S has an ID that is specific to that phone. When you use Siri, the ID is sent to the servers so it knows that it is coming from an iPhone 4S. So even if you got Siri to work on another device, the servers won't accept it since it is not an iPhone 4S. What Applidium was find out what their iPhone 4S ID was and plugged it into their hack, then it worked.

Hmmm, but if you were using your own phone, and you own laptop, it shouldn't be a bid deal, should it? Or maybe they just don't want you to do it, period?
