Is anyone else impressed that new smart phones like the iPhone 4S come with 1080p video recording? Having a great camera is one thing, but I never imagined a phone would have that kind of resolution. My old TV only has 720p resolution, and I've always been fairly happy just with that.

The other thing I've been hearing about is 3D video recording. That seems like another somewhat crazy idea to me, but I'd still be curious to see something like that.

I think it's great but the only issue I have is that I can't zoom on my iphone 4 when I shoot video. I'm not sure about the iPhone 4S. However, I am impressed with the picture quality. However, because of the lack of zoom, I am not throwing out my Flip Mino HD anytime soon.

I think 3D video is just a fad. Until they can figure out how to create a 3D experience without glasses then that will be the game changer. Until then, I think Apple will stick with regular 2D video in glorious HD. :-)
