    Default Strange Backup problem...

Ok. So I have an iP4 running 4.1 that I'm trying to restore a BU to.

The BU was saved on an iP4 running 4.2.1

When you go to select the BU from the drop down box, It won't show my BU.

But it's there in iTunes and prefs>devices I can see it...

When I plug in my GF's 3Gs running 4.2.1 and right click restore, it shows my BU in the drop box...

Has anyone else run into this before?

    Many thanks

Normally iTunes gives a message, something like "this backup is too new and can't be restored onto this device".

So yes I've seen similar but not your exact problem. My point is, in general iTunes doesn't support what you are trying to do.
