Which should i buy ? iPhone 4G OR HTC EVO 4G
Well I joined this community today because i m looking to buy a new iphone ,As recently running a latest 4G on market and i have good budget right now ,,moreover my all of friends alredy bought this iPhone so i m so curious to buy it.. but i have read an article here An iphone Lover's Take on The HTC EVO 4GAn iPhone Loverís Take On The HTC EVO 4G
In this article mentioned lot of features then iPhone 4G so i want to more advance then my friends and colleges guys ..
Actually i m confusing little bit which should i buy so I need your best suggestion..
personally i would go for the iPhone purely for that fact that i will hold its value better than the Evo 4g when selling at the other end of ownership.
the camera/video camera are amazing, i am far from an apple fan boy and still use a pc, but i haven't looked at another phone since the first iPhone
Its hard to say. What do you want in a phone? How much are you willing to spend a month? like it all depends on the user to make that decision. I came from the palm pre on sprint and i am happy with the phone change.
Biggest problem I'm hearing about the EVO is that the battery life is trash and to make it better you end up disabling over half of the cool features that the phone has, dimming brightness, turning off services, etc.
That said, the screen on the iPhone 4 is noticably higher resolution than the EVO is, but the EVO has a bigger screen. I don't really care about screen size much, I think the size of the screen on the iPhone 4 is good enough.
Last but not least, do you have 4G coverage in your area? Will you benefit from the 4G radio in the device? That's a lot of the cost and that's one of the biggest features on the EVO. If you aren't in a 4G coverage area, the phone is really only marginally better than the other Android offerings already on the market.
That said, I've used several android phones and from the OS perspective, I can't stand them. It's only because I've been an iPhone user so long and have gotten so used to the standard UI look and feel -- but Android has absolutely none of that. Application icons are different sizes per application, there is no standard UI or interface aesthetics, so every application seems like it was built to run on a different phone. Nothing ever feels like it is running on the device it was intended for, I always get the impression it's being shoehorned onto the phone I'm using. Had I never used an iPhone, I don't think I'd mind, but because everything on the iPhone is so fluid and so homogenized, I can't use an OS that feels like everything was slapdashed onto the device.
The way I explain it to my friends is that Android is truly linux for the iPhone. It's an OS for people who like to tinker with their device. You can do some really cool things on it (e.g., start an SSH tunnel, use another app to route traffic through the SSH tunnel) that you cannot do on an iPhone, and that is really cool. Ultimately though, I don't *want* my phone to be something I have to tinker with. I really just want a phone to "Just Work(TM)", and the iPhone does that in spades.
