Default Question about jailbreaking my iPhone 4

Hi guys, Im a new iPhone user but I've beend reading forums for a while..
Im waiting for the untethered jailbreak version for iOS 4.2.1 but Im sure it wont come in a week. The point is that Im going for a long trip next weekend and I want TomTom GPS app until there, so I'll have to jailbreak my phone.
Does it really worths a tethered jailbreak ? I mean, hows this JB version going ? Not bugs ? No errors ? Because I dont wanna run out of phone during my trip (and until we get the untethered version). Btw, I dont turn off my cell phone often.
    THanks guys.

The only reason you would need to jailbreak to get the tomtom app is piracy. We don't support or endorse piracy here on this forum. Thread closed.

Beyond Olethros's point that piracy is not supported here, there are FREE GPS turn by turn software packages out there (Mapquest Mobile, Skrobbler, xGPS). It truly is amazing to me that people would rather steal software for something they absolutely don't need rather than use a free alternative.
