hi,
i have a canadian iphone 4..which is unlock....
used fine with my FIDO sim card...
now im in china...put my card in...
invalid sim....
soo im guessing its CARRIER locked now..
so my question is if i do a restore...
will that unlcok it again???

i did used tinyumbrella to backup but that was after i leave canada...
so
phone>fido>tinyumbrella>china> not work...

btw i keep getting Blue screen...
everytime i; unplug my iphone and shut off the phone while its plugged in..
its fine when i just plug it in....computer reconigze it, itunes too...
but just when i shut off the phone or unplug it i get blue screen
...
help...
if i get blue screen i cant reboot my phone..

tried, reinstalled itunes, uninstall all logitech drivers, also my phone is blank phone....factory reset it...so its clean....
planning to restore it but i cant...bluescreen...........
so please someone helpl!!!

It would be helpful if you gave us the actual STOP error that you were receiving in the BSOD, that could at least provide indication of where the problem is. Make sure if you uninstall iTunes to reinstall it that you also remove the Apple Mobile Device Support software, and remove all of the iPod/Bonjour services as well. A strict uninstall of iTunes leaves more than its fair share of bits and pieces hanging all over the computer.Quote:

Rogers owns Fido, but they run it as a standalone company. Maybe that is why you can use a fido card. Or maybe you are wrong about it being a rogers iPhone originally.

Any other iPhone sold in Canada will be carrier locked.
