4.0GM UDID unnecessary?

Posting this here as I moved a thread to the Flea Market for being off-topic here that contained this information as well:

Apparently the UDID requirement has been removed from the 4.0 iOS GM build that is seeding presently. Several users have confirmed that they have been able to install and activate 4.0 on their devices without having UDIDs registered as developers. Can anyone else confirm this definitively?

I can confirm this. As long as you can legitimately activate and you have iTunes 9.2 beta, then you do not need a UDID registered for the potential GM build.
