    Default Jailbreak affects battery life?

    Hi, i might be wrong but since i jailbreaked my iphone 4 i feel battery y lasting less, is that happening to anyone else? Or im just using it more?Btw, wich 3g app is betet? 3g unrestrictor or my 3g? And also wich app is better for converting my iphone in a hotspot? My ei or iphone modem? Thanks!!

    I have the same issue. At 4PM it was 100% and by 8PM i had 65%, I wasn't using it much.

    It is possible that the iPhone 4 unlock might impact battery life. This is being investigated by the iPhone dev team. If they confirm it does impact battery life, expect an ultrasn0w update to fix this.

    There are plenty of other things that can impact battery life. Voip apps like skype run at system startup and sit in the background chewing up some battery (for example)

    ultrasn0w was updated to 1.1.1 to address any battery drain issues you can see iphone dev twitter and sherif hashim's for updates on it

    As far as I can tell, the updates for ultrasn0w battery drain issues are only for iPhone 4.

    My pohne is factory unlocked, i didnt used ultrasnow, but i do used jailbreakme...

    BTW whats mobilesubstrate, and how can i turn it off??

    many cydia apps require this.
    ultrasn0w uses this for unlocking.

    There is a lot of chatter around the web concerning this. I have been doing a bunch of tests with different options turned off, along with screenshots of "usage" as well as Istat processes. I will report my findings after a few more tests. In the mean time, there is a 30+ page thread going on with people doing the same:
