Sorry to repeat this thread but can i just ask, i rung up 02 they told me my IMEI is barred, does this mean its barred in every country or just the UK?

It means it's barred in all EU countries (they all share the same database)

In the UK, the only person/company who can remove the IMEI bar is the person/company who originally requested it. The bar is only applied for a valid reason (lost, stolen, defrauding the carrier).

In the UK, you can be jailed for just owning tools to change the IMEI, no such tools exist for recent iPhones anyway.

Fair enough, i was just asking if it can be used in other countries, i'm not asking about changing the IMEI or anything, i already found a legal way around IMEI being barred. But thanks for the advice.
