Default iPhone 4 restarts, no IMEI, no ECID

    Hi!

4 weeks ago my iPhone started to restart it self quite a few times every day. One day it showed: Can not make or receive calls. Restore needed. Replacing the battery inside the phone did not change the problem.

However restoring didnt not bring any effect. First it got stuck while restoring or restarted itself and iTunes error 1,-1 and 28 came up. When it succeeded to restore it showed me that there would be no sim card installed. I tried to insert 2 different cards and no card without success. The iPhone is factory unlocked so there should be no issue with this.
Furthermore it does not display any IMEI or ECID and I never receives any signal. As far as I could google myself through there could be a problem with the logic board and the baseband. However I do not know how to fix it. I have no warranty on that phone.
    I restored 4.3.3 5.0 5.0.1 5.1 5.1.1 all without success (I have SSH Blobs saved).

Is there anyone who can recommmend me anything that could bring me further?

Your research is accurate. The behavior is indicative of a phone that has a broken baseband. If restoring 5.1.1 with the baseband in it doesn't solve the problem, your choices would be fairly limited:

    1) Purchase a new logic board (including comms board + baseband) and replace. This will likely be pricey, but not as pricey as #3. The replacement of the logic board is also a somewhat complex process if you haven't done it before. Be careful so that you don't break things, it's easy to break stuff inside while messing around.
    2) Purchase a new baseband chip and desolder the old one and replace with the new one. This will only work if the baseband chip itself is what is at fault. This also requires much more work and more equipment to complete successfully, but it will likely be the least expensive method to solve the problem if you already have the tools and experience. Again, this will only fix the problem if it is the actual baseband chip (and not any other part of the comms assembly) that is broken.
    3) Bring the phone to Apple and pay $200 for them to replace the phone out of warranty with a new/refurbished of the same model. This will be the most expensive method but the only one guaranteed to end up with a working phone.

Last but not least, if you replace the logic board, the SHSH you had previously will no longer be of any use to you. If you replace the baseband chip, your SHSH should still be usable.

Hi, I just bought a used 3GS from Ebay , it was stuck on Recovery Loop , I fixed it.

But then when I started to use the phone , after 3min of use , it will restart by itself. No matter the firmware (tried many versions + jailbroken/non jailbroken ...)

I think it's an hardware issue , what do you suggest me to do ? (I already took it apart , visually seems OK , all connectors are there ...)

Noticed that it will also reboot by itself in recovery mode too but not during restore...
