Default iPhone 4 carrier logo graphics

Since I got my iPhone 4 I've been trying to replace the carrier logo with a nice graphic one, as I've been doing since fw 1.x.

Before the jb was available I've attempted to reinject a complete ipcc file with the graphics logo, but it did not work at all.

I've noticed however that the is a new entry in the carrier.bundle, specifically in the status bar images stanza: StatusBarCarrierName. This seems to be specifically targeted to iPhone 4, as old graphics will not scale properly.

The idea of using a PNG dates from the time Cingular was the orignal Apple partner and they got acquired by AT&T during the development of the original iPhone. So there were both Cingular and AT&T SIM Cards and networks around so they decided to make a graphic to show the AT&T logo even for Cingulare SIMs and networks. But the fall back was always text and now it seems that they have switched to text always on the new iPhone.

If anyone managed to get the png carrier logo to load on the new iPhone, please post the trick.

    Eureka!

There is now one extra graphic for each "old" graphic. Just add "@2x" to the filename and it will work as before.

So, if the logo as {Default,FSO}_CARRIER_XXX.png two new files can be added named {Default,FSO}_CARRIER_XXX@2x.png

In particular for the Status Bar carrier logo/name there is now one extra entr "StatusBarCarrierName" that will be used as the text in case the graphic for the proper resolution is not found.

The "@2x" may / should work in other/places too, specially in Winterboard themes.

I tried to add the @2x and I'm still not getting it to work. Any ideas as to something I am possibly doing wrong? Thanks!

hello there just replace the originals carrier logo with your own logo ...
FSO_CARRIER_ATT@2x this is the white and Default_CARRIER_ATT@2x this is the black
make sure that the dimensions set to 148x40

    good luck!!!!!
