i have the new IOS 5.0.1 and after 2 days it now wont turn on and when i plug it into the wall it comes up with the plug into itunes screen so when i plug it into my computer all it does is reboot after reboot.

im getting so annoyed with this apple logo every 5 seconds

i also tried the dfu mode but all it does is tell me to restore the iPhone but then it says error, then its bk to the apple logo

i really need help!

You need to boot into recovery and restore it, search on google it will tell ya.

It definitely sounds like something has gone wrong and Jetta-kid is correct -- it seems that you will need to do a factory restore to get the phone back to a working state. Did you jailbreak on 5.0.1 prior to the phone bootlooping?

If it is, get redsnow, point it to the 5.0 ipsw, then click just boot tethered.

Tethered jail broken phones will boot loop if you dont boot it up like I explained

Oh god I hope someone can help me. I posted a new thread -- but no responses. I have the same problem. The apple logo every 5 seconds.

I updated my phone to 5.0.1 with preserved bb which was 4.10.01 -- once I did that, I tried to jailbreak it with redsn0w and it didn't work. since then i've tried restoring to custom ipsw, stock, and nothing works. Error 21 in itunes. When ever i restored, it would just go to the apple logo 5/sec each but now when ever i try a restore it goes to the logo to plug my iphone into itunes.

The log indicates you're using a pre-personalized bundle while attempting to restore. It's worth mention that I don't believe this will work. I could be wrong (it's possible they personalize part of the bundle to block the baseband update, though in most cases I thought they actually removed the baseband from the firmware), but I do know that SHSH do not work to restore 5.0.1 because the APticket is generated every boot and is randomized, and the SHSH is based on the APticket, so if you personalize an .IPSW with a 5.0.1 SHSH, it will not restore properly.

Have you used redsn0w to create a firmware without the baseband and attempted to restore to that, without personalizing it, etc.?

Are you using redsn0w to personalize the .IPSW to begin with? Or did you just download from the internet? If you downloaded, did you get it directly from Apple or from a third party site?

Someone that was helping me had me download it from an Apple website.
