I am at 75000 text messages and cant recieve anymore.
yes I know thats the limit and blah, blah, blah and why dont you delete them? well I dont.
I want to save all my messages and continue to send and recieve.
I want to know how. because i know the limit on 1.1.3 was 1000, so there must be a way to make it 10 million or what ever. i have a semi-tethered jailbroken ios 5.0 iphone 4 factory unlocked.
the whole idea of jailbroken phones were for this matter in the first place. apple just being a text bitch.
does anyone have any constructive ideas to help me?
Thank you.

Apple has hard coded a limit of 15MB (approx 75k messages) for the SMS database to ensure that the application opens quickly and remains responsive. There is no current way known to circumvent this restriction or increase the size that the database tops out at. That doesn't mean it's impossible, just that no one has yet figured out how to do it. Your only choice at present is to back up the SMS messages on your PC either through a CSV conversion or by manually retrieving the SMS.db.
The preceding forum post has been brought to you by the letter "N" and the number 42.
