How To Restore Model Number A1332 When Itunes keeps Giving Error Codes
Hi. I bought a used Iphone and had it unlocked and jailbroken. Actually my brother in the states did. Now I realized that its still stuck on the activation screen and no matter what i tried, i couldn't activate it with my local sim. So I wanted to do a restore, only EVERY time I connect it to itunes and do a restore of saved firmwares that I have, i get error messages. My local internet is super slow so downloading the isp files will take forever. I took it to a couple a friends same thing. It won't restore. Does anyone have any idea why? Or is there a certain firmware that I should be using? Any help would be helpful. As of now, I don't have any info on it (firmware, baseband etc.... because it's stuck on the activation screeen) Help!

Use TinyUmbrella or f0recast to determine what current revision of iOS is running on the phone (if any at this point). Beyond that, just telling us it errors when it restores is very not helpful for us to troubleshoot. Please read the link in my signature about how to report on restore errors correctly -- that will be a big help. Also, since you're new to this, read the link in my signature about SHSH files -- they will be very important in determining what version of iOS you can restore.
The preceding forum post has been brought to you by the letter "N" and the number 42.
