I just bought a new iPhone 4 IOS 4.0.2 . Now i know that I can't jailbreak. So I have a friend that works for telecom . So he gave me a sim card with unlimited everything. I was able to activate my iPhone . And I get the 3G icon on top. But I can't get online or send mms.

My question is how can i edit my settings in order to put my in.

Now my phone it's NOT jailbroken or unlocked. I don't have a ATT sim but I have a Telecom sim that I was able to activate the phone with. I can make calls and send txt meseages . But I can access the web or send mms.

I will appreaciated if someone can tell me how to do it or points me in to the right place.

Due to pressure from carriers like AT&T (who want to charge extra for tethering) Apple has removed the ability to edit APN and MMS settings from most carrier bundles including the generic bundle used when you run on a carrier that does not officially sell the iPhone. If you use an official carrier, this should be preconfigured.

These bundles are now also digitally signed, so uploading a manually edited bundle won't work.

You need to jailbreak and apply a patch to disable the signature checks before you can do what you want. There are existing threads that explain this.
