How to change APN settings for Tethering
Hi Guys,
I have a Iphone 4 unlocked (no jailbreak) and at the moment my carrier Vodafone.ie is ripping me off with Tethering charges.
I have data through live.vodafone.com included in my package plan however when I'm tethering it's going through office.vodafone.ie where they charge me per Mb.
Is there a way that I can change the settings to use the tethering through live.vodafone and avoid them charging me extra ?
I tried to find some information about IPCC but they are old posts talking about IOS3. I tried the IPhone Configuration Utility but didn't work either.
Thanks for the help !

Enabling iOS native tethering in 4.0+ is pretty easy if you don't mind spending a few dollars -- TetherMe allows for dynamic configuration of iOS tethering and also makes all required modifications to allow APN editing. IPCC doesn't matter on iOS 4+ anymore, so anything relating to them can be safely ignored.
Whether or not they will charge you extra is decided by the carrier -- it's easy for them to determine whether or not you're tethering by looking at data usage patterns and by any sort of DPI/SPI that they run. I know AT&T leverages usage to determine whether someone is tethered or not, so if you're a very low usage customer, you can skirt by their limitations.
