i restarted the phone several times and when i start the phone a screen appears asking me to accept or decline the unlock. i click on accept but there is still no signal.

What baseband do you have? Have you updated to iOS 5 previously and then downgraded?

Hi. Are you using Gevey + Furious Mod? If so, there are many bugs that come with that app. (Most of the time it's the user that doesn't follow instructions carefully) Nonetheless, the 112 method works well. I use Gevey and these are my steps:
-Take your Gevey + Sim out, turn the phone off.
-Put Gevey + Sim back in, power phone on.
-Wait for the Gevey prompt (Will ask you to cancel or accept) ... hit Cancel and go into your settings > phone ... at the bottom hit 'Sim Applications'
-Click on Instructions (English, I assume) ... Hit accept.
-Wait around 15 seconds, and dial 112.
-Go back into your phone settings and turn on Airplane Mode (Is that what it's called? ...Running off no sleep here)
This usually completes the steps. DO NOT do anything until you see no sim installed... once that pops up, you can then turn off Airplane Mode. Be patient! It can take up to ~5 minutes.
Good luck!
