Guys if a iPhone was lost can the finder still use the phone or does the iPhone become useless if the original owner reports the phone lost to the network provider

The cell carrier could track it , they ( rogers i know) offers tracing serivce for a fee. also mobile me does this as part of the service. i use mobile me. works great and to me is worth the 125cnd a year.....

if the person that finds/steals you phone knows about iphones, mobile me wont do any good. just erase the iphone and goodbuy mobile me. carrier tracer is better in my opinion.
