I know it was a dumb thing to do but I decided to setup the new one as a new phone.
Now I badly need several contacts and information I stored in sms conversations.
I have managed to manually get quite a few contacts on the new iPhone but after days of research I am unable to find a way to merge my old iphone backup with the new one.

If that is not possible, is it possible for me to extract the sms and/or contacts from the old backup to my phone or PC?
