Anyone Know What Happened? iPhone 4 Sim Free
Just wondering if anyone has had this before. I bought a SIM Free iPhone 4 direct from Apple in the UK. The first time I plugged it into iTunes it came up with a message saying "Congratulations your iPhone is Unlocked" or something like that. I then clicked continue and iTunes errorred. The error was title "Baseband Crash Log" and when I clicked on more information it allowed me to save a folder called "Baseband".
The contents of the folder were as follows-
log-bb-1969-12-31-stats.log
log-bb-1969-12-31-stats.plist
log-bb-1970-01-01-stats.log
log-bb-1970-01-01-stats.plist
log-bb-2010-06-10-stats.log
log-bb-2010-06-10-stats.plist
Anyone know what might have happened and what these files are?

Have you tried restoring and activating it again?

Nah, the phone is working fine. I'm just interested in why it happened and what the files are. It's strange that it happened when iTunes told me the phone was unlocked. It's also strange that it gave this message at all as it is supposed to be Sim free from Apple.

Hmm... Not sure. But as long as it's working fine doesn't really matter right.

Your probably right. It was just when I seen the words "Baseband Crash Log" I thought it might be something to do with the Unlock part of the activation and the way iTunes officially unlocks the Sim free iPhones. Also for software unlocks a Baseband Crash is required first to then go on and create something like Ultrasn0w.
Was just wondering if the content of the files would be any use to anyone.

The baseband crashes (every now and then) the causes can be many different factors. Mostly it is due to the network and the way the baseband interacts with it. The crashes could even have occurred during factory testing before you even got the iPhone.
Send the info to Apple and forget about it.
I have a SIM free iPhone 3GS and had similar experience at least one time I activated my iPhone.
