I accidently updated my iPhone 3G S 32gb to 3.1.3

I do not need unlock.

All I need is jailbreak.

My phone is produced in 2009, 36th week.

I just bought the phone from my friend. I'm not sure if he has saved shsh?

When I open Umbrella, and enter the details then click the Sumbit button, it downloads a file. I've tried this from both servers apple and saurik and it works for both.

So, is my shsh saved? Can I go for a downgrade?

open umbrella again.
put in your ecid
and select 3.1.2 shsh to see if you can get it.
You need the 3.1.2 shsh NOT 3.1.3
If you cannot, you are out of luck

impossible if you get it from apple today.
Delete those .shsh you have on your computer.
Run umbrella and point it to 3.1.2 from saurik's.
I want to make sure you have the right one.

i removed them, i copied the umbrela to a new folder and tried again from apple and i got it again. i took a screenshot. please check the time.

i realized that i had edited host file.

now when i removed the lines that i added. i didn't get the file from apple.

but i do get it from saurik/cydia.

so i can go for downgrade?

Since you only want to downgrade so you can jailbreak again, you don't care about unlock, so I'm assuming you are using the phone with a legitimate apple approved carrier.

1. download firmware 3.1.2 for your 3gs

** edit your hosts file and put in 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

2. Put phone in DFU mode and restore the stock firmware. At the end, you will get error 1015. Don't worry, just ignore it. The phone is probably stuck in recovery mode.

3. Leave the phone in recovery mode as it is in now and restore with the stock 3.1.2 firmware one more time. Again you will see error 1015, just ignore it.

4. Now use redsn0w 0.9.3, run it and let it jailbreak your phone and boot into the normal operating system.

The phone should now boot up normally.
The part i am unsure is if redsn0w hacktivated your device or it will let you activate via itunes since you have a legit sim/carrier.

Let me know how it went. If the phone was hacktivated and you need legit activation I can help with that later. But for now, let see how this will turn out
