ok it was fixed in my second try.

but now i get no service from t-mobile.

    itunes didn't go for activation.

i entered my pin code and instead of carrier there are just some points.

    no signal.

of course you have no signal.
you baseband was upgraded to 05.12.01 when you went to 3.1.3 firmware.
There is no unlock for that.

You clearly stated in your post #1 that you don't need an unlock !!!

What country are you in ?
I thought you are in USA using t-mobile.

To get the activation with your legit apple approved tmobile carrier, now you need to use a Mac (sorry, I don't know any other easier way around this).

    - use a Mac
    - download pwnagetool 3.1.5
    - run pwnagetool in expert mode
    - create custom firmware 3.1.2 and do not check activation, select Cydia.

When you are done, pwnagetool will ask if iphone was pwned, say yes.
Now, go to itunes and restore with your custom firmware.
After the restore, itunes will contact its server and activate that phone

There are probably other ways to do this but I think it's the simpliest under the circumstances.
