^pretty sure it does... make sure you read all posts in this thread and don't try the Mac OSX patch on your Windows version iTunes, follow Olethros' guide to getting it running on Windows. The extra security steps (run as administrator) is more of a problem with Windows Vista / 7, but while not necessary for Windows XP, will still work fine.

AFAIK, iTunes 9.0.3 is the latest version and this fix is for 9.0.2 ONLY?

Will uninstalling 9.0.3 and sourcing an older copy of iTunes (9.0.2) to use this fix with work?

Generally true that the extra admin steps are for Vista/Win7

Microsoft's default setup for XP means most XP users run as admin (with all the risks that entails). If you use a corporate XP machine you are probably not a full administrator though as these are usually locked down quite a lot more.

Ahh crap. There's an order to it?

Oh well it's all gone now. Installing 9.0.2 and gonna give this Error 23 patch-fix a shot. Thanks for everybody's input and especially Olethros hand-holding guide.

Don't think it matters about having the sim card in for the restore or not.

1002 could be a baseband issue, I need to see your restore log to be sure.

If you can use your iPhone afterwards (as an iPod touch) or there is no sign of the jailbreak (and you are stuck at the connect to iTunes screen) then you can consider this process successful.

The whole point is to get your iPhone clean enough to swap under warranty. There is no way to fix the baseband problem (that causes both error 23 and error 1011) yourself.

    Default Thank you SO MUCH

Thank you Olethros for posting the information and to the dev team. THIS F'n WORKED!

I have been so stressed about this and scoured all of Google and THIS is the ONLY thing that has worked. I've seen other posts online about this problem but no solutions.

Thank you so much! I logged on just to thank you. I'm off to the Apple Store to exchange this thing. Though... I think I'm done jailbreaking for now. This was too much of a nightmare to fix.
