Did you run through all the suggestions in that document? Different cable? With a USB hub? Let it restore - get the error and don't unplug or shutdown iTunes - just click OK and try the restore again? Another user account?
Tried a different cable, usb hub.. still the error 1603 is persistent even with a new account.. Even tried ih8snow or blackra1n , none of these work...

    RAW OUTPUT 8HKvSiLP

    Tried a different computer?

My interpretation of the log still shows some sort of USB instability.

Just tried it on my other 2 laptops with the same version and bypassed the error 23, still error 1603 persists and on top of that I even tried a custom firmware 3.1.3 that bypasses error 160x and still no luck...

Haven't tried a different USB cable though but I doubt it should coz I have 2 iPhone 3G and other one's from my sister, this broken one is actually hers so I'm pretty sure it's not the USB cable coz it works perfectly fine with mine...

The thing is, everytime I restore it, it resets right, so It shows an apple logo but no loading icon... after a 30seconds it just totally goes black out and on iTunes it keep's displaying Preparing for restore... and particularly after 5 minutes the error 1603 just pops and the iPhone is blacked out 5 minutes ago..

any more advice ? thanks mod

    Definitely try a different cable.

Also try restoring with no SIM card inserted.

you can also try iREB but we don't support or normally recommend tools from this author. It won't hurt your phone though.

Tried a USB cable from my dads 3GS, how ironic I've been restoring it without a Sim card, I also tried restoring with a SIM card still no luck..

and for IREB still no luck, tried it DFU mode and white screen and opened up iTunes still same error 1603 persists..

I really ran out of ideas, hope there's more.. =(

This is a hardware problem. I have moved your post to this thread. The solution is to remove all trace of jailbreak and get the iPhone repaired/replaced by Apple.

Because the same solution works for 3G and 3GS iPhones.

Read this thread (from the beginning), patch your iTunes, restore - then take your phone to Apple and either claim warranty or start arguing.

This problem has *nothing* to do with jailbreak and can happen to any iPhone owner (but it is relatively uncommon)

What is the point of making restore and take it to Apple.
This is problem from the begining. I cant restore. So if i restore i no need to send them and everything will be ok?

And i think when the phone is in this situation, they cant see that the phone is jailbroken.
