Un-jailbreaking???
i am very new to iphone i have only had the phone for 5 days however, I have an iphone 3Gs on ios 4.3.3 and baseband 06.15.00. The Only reason i wanted to jailbreak was to unlock the phone, However now i am switching back to the provider that the phone is originally through and would like to remove jailbreak
and update to the newest firmware.
can i update to 5.0.1 through itunes with baseband 06.15.00?
Will it brick the phone?
What is the best way to do this to get the phone back to factory ex: no jailbreak normal baseband etc
thanks for the help.

First and foremost, it's unrealistic to expect you're going to get a response in 6 hours on a weekend, please don't bump posts unnecessarily. Also, had you searched, you'd have found the answer.
Since you're on 06.15, you HAVE to make a custom firmware for 5.0.1 that doesn't include the BB update (this was all documented in the details for the 06.15 update that you should have read before upgrading to 06.15), and you will need to kick it out of recovery mode after the restore. RESTORIONG TO A STOCK 5.0.1 WILL RESULT IN A BOOTLOOPED PHONE THAT NEEDS TO BE RESTORED AGAIN BEFORE IT WILL WORK.
That said, the device's warranty is void and Apple will recognize immediately that it was previously jailbroken and unlocked. You cannot restore the device to 100% factory as you cannot revert back from the 06.15 baseband -- which means ALL future restores have to be done with the custom baseband-removed firmware or the phone will bootloop.
