Stuck on the apple logo
My 3GS had always problems. It had major battery issues for a long time. the phone would switch off everytime i tried to start an app so i would need to swtch it back on. The phone work fine if it was connected to the power source. Bit stupid really. lol.
But recently, the phone won't even switch on properly. It would get to the apple logo and stay there for three seconds and then switch off. No matter if its charged or anything. It just continuously does this. Is this the phone broke then???
I can't take it back under warranty either as it has already had the back cover replaced (stupid me). can anyone help??
I've tried to restore it and even try to do it with blackrain as well. Nothign has worked. thanks in advance for the help

Do you remember exactly what happened before the problems started? That helps diagnose how to solve them. Did they start before or after you took off the back cover and worked on the phone?
It sounds like you really need to restore it and then set it up as a new phone to clear out any OS issues. If that doesn't solve the problems, then it's more likely a hardware problem.
Is the phone actually switching off, or just going to a black screen while still on? If the battery is too low, the phone will sit at a black screen until it's charged a little bit. Since you're getting the Apple logo, it seems the phone may be trying to reset, but for some reason is getting stuck. If the Apple logo pops up after the black screen, the phone is not off. It can't turn itself on to display the Apple logo.
If you suspect a battery issue, try a hard reset while charging off a wall or USB power hub. Both give more power than tethering to a USB port on your computer.
I went through something similar this week. It took three days, but I finally got enough power onto my phone to get it into Recovery mode and then through a restore. After the restore, it started functioning normally again.
I hope this helps a bit.

I done nothing really before it. I just had battery issues for a while cos it kept switching itself off everytime i tried to use a app or just tryign to send a msg, make a call etc etc.
It would go on the apple logo, 2-3 secs later, it would switch off. Properly switched off not a black screen
If itas connected to a power source, it would just continue this process of switching on, being on the apple logo and 2 secs later, switch off. and then it would switch on again and the whole cycle continues. lol

Can you get it into DFU mode and restore that way? http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/54082.htm
Otherwise I suspect you have a hardware problem.
