About LinkBacksI just saved my shsh on saurik using umbrella and i am wondering if i can now install a 4.0 custom firmware on my 3gs. my 3gs is running on stock 4.0 and is on new bootrom.

No.
You need a 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 SHSH, you can't get those anymore. Without it, get your 4.0 SHSH and wait for the new tools -- that's all you can do.The preceding forum post has been brought to you by the letter "N" and the number 42.
