What a bugger I thought I downloaded the correct firmware for 3.1 via torrent and it turned out to be a dud iPhone2,1_3.1_7C144_Restore when I did shift restore through itunes it all worked but when i started my phone I had no cydia and the firmware changed to 05.11 so no happy.

I was on jailbroken 3.0 on 3gs which was working fine. but now that it has upgraded the fw i cant downgrade is this right?

I have no cydia nothing virtually a fresh 3gs phone with upgraded fw.

I have an ECID with cydia which use to be on my phone. I have tried downloading it from ECID and followed instructions exactly and all came up confimed and exactly what was written but when I restored from Itunes i got error 3001, apparently it should have been 1500 or so.



any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're not going to able to network unlock or downgrade the Baseband if you have 05.11 BB

If your sure u have the blobs on Cydia you'll be able to downgrade the firmware & jailbreak,


But it sound like if you're getting a 3001 error you ether don't have itunes pointing to saurik server right or your using the wrong firmware.

Example: you have 3.0 blobs on saurik server & your DFU restoring with 3.0.1 firmware

i got all excited when it finally started to restore but i have 3.1 blobs on cydia server did all the correct downloading to retrieve, but when i go to restore in Itunes does that mean i have to use 3.1. i tried 3.0 and 3.0.1 but neither worked. but then used 3.1 and yep it worked but still no cydia.. any ideas

If you don't have 3.0 or 3.0.1 blobs on saurik's server you want be able to jailbreak with the current pwnagetool version.

Your need to wait until pwnagetool works on an OTB 3.1 firmware or a version new of redsn0w is made.
