I've seen so many people on ebay saying that they got an iPhone 3Gs but they dont want it, and then they sell it there.

How can they do that?

1st case) If I have a clean SSN (without any ATT Contract), can I buy one at 199, and then, never activate it without being charged the full price?

2nd case) If I have someone with an ATT account, with another phone (not iphone), can they get it for 199, and never use it, nor activate it, nor get charged the data plan, and sell the 3gs without paying full price?

Try avoid buying in e-bay as major of them reported either its stolen or IMEI is blocked.

Go for apple shoe room or authorised delaer.



1) After buying in ATT you need to activate it.

2) they can buy but .. after getting it they need to activate the data plan ; they can cancel the data plan after one month and buy the set paying hefty price (you need to surrender if its cancelled before one month)
