Q: Does Remote Wipe Erase RedSn0w Jailbreak?
Hi,
I need to restore my 3GS (3.0.1 JB with RedSn0w, no unlock, on ATT) after a Remote Wipe. The Remote Wipe crashed the phone. I built a custom 3.1.2 ipsw with Pwnage, but that was for an already-Pwned phone. Do I need to build one now for an unPwned phone and use it instead?
I don't want to restore to the wrong custom ipsw and then get stuck with 16xx errors.
Thank you for sharing any advice and experience!

PS:
I'm not a thief! Yesterday, I initiated a Remote Wipe on my 3GS that caused a whole lot of problems. I used Remote Wipe because my phone was stolen. Luckily, it was a neighborhood twerp and his parents returned it to me. Anyone interested can read that thread. I won't repeat the details here.

You should in theory be able to use ipsw for pwned phone.
The remote wipe just does an erase all content and settings.

Thanks! That's great news. I'll give it a try and see if there's enough battery power to get through the process.

Update: Can't get my phone into Recovery Mode again. I think it needs to charge on the wall again for a few hours so there's enough energy for it to do anything. That seems to be the case after any activity. I think the RedSn0w launch drained it of the little energy that had been saved.
