Hello!

I've messed up big time.
I was about to sell my iphone, I even already got money from it.
When I was deleting my contacts and such I thought I'd be faster to just wipe it all and reset all data (in general settings). I didn't know it would mess my firmware. Now the phone didn't boot anymore (froze at apple logo)...

I tried to recover it by installing a custom firware but It didn't let me install...some error code...

Well then I realized I had a saved shsh on cydia (3.1.2) which I succesfully managed to get (the file). I successfully followed every step on how to restore the firmware which has been saved shsh...Everything goes as it should, untill...The apple logo pops up and the installation bar...Then it just freezes there and after few minutes it restarts back to the picture where you need to put usb cable to iTunes...

The iPhone is now without any firmware I quess...I don't know what to do anymore...please help me

edit: The error code after installation fails is 1611. And the iphone was at firmware 3.1.2 jailbreaked and unlocked by blackra1n.

edit: The error code after installation fails is 1611. And the iphone was at firmware 3.1.2 jailbreaked and unlocked by blackra1n.

1611 is a hardware error. Try a different USB cable a different USB port - or preferably a different computer.

Are you 100% sure it was error 1611?

Post your iPhone restore log on pastebin.com - it might give a clue as to why you failed with that error code.

Yes, it was 1611 error. Now that youy told me that it was hardware error I tried other usb slots and older version of iTunes...and YES! I got it to install!

Now I got 3.1.2 jailbroken and unlocked again! Thank you so much!
