Hello all,

1st, much respect to all that post VALUABLE information on this site. Not a lot of posts from me here so I ask for some patience and tolerance and I just dont want to mess up.

I have JB and UL 3g with 3.0x FW with no issues ever. Well, its my 1st time with a 3GS 3.0.1 and I just dont want to screw up.

Here are the specs and steps

* 3GS-32gb-new, bought WITH 3.0.1 FW and 4.26.08 BB out of box last week.

* Ran Redsn0w 0.8 to jailbreak

* Got all the way through but got stuck with a message "waiting for reboot". It never rebooted so I canceled.
* It was stuck in DFU mode.
* Held down the power and the home button and it rebooted.......WHEW. I thought was screwed.
* I am still with 3.0.1 FW and 4.26.08 BB and everything seems to be ok. I hope.


I just dont want to SCREW THIS UP. Can anyone tell me if I am missing something, or if I did anything wrong ? What I have read is that if you get a new 3gs with 3.0.1 and BB 4.26.08 it can be jailbroken with no issue.

I have read and read. Some say, Do the above with just Redsn0w and there is no issue. Well, I tried it and it scared the hell outta me.

Can someone please help.

run redsnow again and this time try running in admin....

when it says waiting for reboot and freezes there, close redsnow and run it again, don't reset the phone. it might take a couple of restarting redsnow. same thing happened to me

I actually figured it out.

1st, I used IClarified tutorial and used their suggested IPSW. Well, I dug a little deeper and it said on quickpwn to use 3.0.1 iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw.

Well I did it and VIOLA. The little running pineapple showed up.

Awesome.

Whew. I was REALLY worried that I was going to be jacked. LOL.

I love this place.
