sleep button

Hey everyone, bit hard to search this topic so sorry if it has been asked.

It seems after jail breaking an iPhone 3G S with purple rain, the sleep button on the device no longer works 100% of the time. It works about ~40% of the time which is very annoying.

Anyone else have this problem? Or know what might be causing it. I haven't installed anything via cydia other than updating existing packages...

it might be a hardware issue and not related to the jailbreak, it happened with me with the iphone 2g it was new but not the sleep bottom the home bottom, I used to push it over normal to work and it was so annoying.

it might be the case with you since it is working 40% of the time.
