For PUSH fix/ unique certificate transfer, do I need an ATT sim (TmobileUSA)

Hello,

I'm about to JB / UL a OTB iphone 3gs.
I have the iBoot, ECID, ECID SHSH and WE GOOD to go.

However, before I get started on the JB / UL to put on T-mobile USA (on my Mac OS 10.4.11 with Itunes 9.0.2), I wanted to clarify something.

I waited a long time to hear if there was ever a fix with PUSH for hacktivated phones.

I heard if you used your buddy's legit sim, then you'd both get a copy of the same PUSH alert (which could be embarrassing depending on the message).

I just read this but don't quite understand the first step:

The first step says without hacktivated... does that mean I need a legit ATT sim?

yes, you need to activate with AT&T sim or with an approved carrier. Just follow the tutorial. Certs cannot be the same as long as you keep it to yourself and don't share with anynone. Certs have to be unique.

If you don't have at&t, find a friend who can help you out by following the tutorial.

1- so if I use a friend's SIM card, then won't I have his certs?

2- or does the tutorial generate unique certs?

3- Can I buy a prepaid ATT sim to do this?

4- can I do this at a later date? start using the phone now and do the certs transfer later?

each time you activate you recieve unique certs

yes you can use the inject tool from the devteam's pushfix to add legitimate unique certs at any time.

Just avoid the pushfix in cydia, this does not contain unique certificates and is not recommended.
