Issues with syncing
Yesterday. I update my 3.1.3 3GS to 4.0 and jailbroke using jailbreakme.com.
All seemed to work fine and the phone is now functioning properly.
I am having issues syncing the phone though.
Everytime I try to sync my music I get a message telling me that 4 apps would be removed from the phone, so I cancelled. These apps hadn't been copied to my itunes from my phone yet.
Tried again and got the same message. So I went ahead and confirmed for it to remove the apps.
I then get a message telling me that I have new app purchases on the phone, would I like to transfer them to itunes? I select yes.
Sync completes, apps are still on the phone, apps havent been copied to itunes and the music has not been transferred to the phone.
Anyone else having issues?
I am using itunes 10.0.0.68.
Sorry if this has been covered before.
Havent been on the forums in a while so I'm abit behind with the news.
Tried searching the term "itunes 10 sync" and came up with bupkiss.
I havent had these problems but I just downloded iTunes 10 and synced my phone, half my jailbroken apps went invisible! they were still there, I could seach for them and find them. I had to download bossprefs from cydia to get them to show up again. I think they still need to work out all the bugs in iTunes 10
I have figured out how to put music onto the iphone.
I need to check the option to manage my music manually, and from there I drag the songs from my library to my iphone.
Can't sync my library though.
Also, itunes keeps asking if I want it to send data to apple.
I keep checking "Do not ask me again", but it keeps popping up everytime I try syncing, no matter what my answer is. Have tried answering no. When that didnt work I answered yes hopping it would stop bugging me, but it still does! Its really annoying me. I am thinking of downgrading my itunes if noone here can post a solution to my problem.
What is the best version of itunes to use with an iPhone on 4.0???
All I can really tell you is that I'm not having *any* of those problems -- it sounds to me like your iTunes install is somewhat borked (technical term, I know). Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes to see if that solves the problem?
